Job Description – GPR Analytics & Compliance Finance/Data Manager

This contractor position will support the Analytics & Compliance (A&C) Team within Government Price Reporting (GPR). The A&C Team provides strategic and operational insights on GPR concepts to internal managed care partners, as well as oversees GPR compliance.  This role will support A&C staff members with Medicaid and 340B program integrity efforts, which includes analyzing Medicaid claims/invoices across various systems and creating useful reports, and other special projects as needed. (The 340B Drug Discount Program is a federal program that requires drug manufacturers to provide drugs to eligible health care organizations at heavily discounted prices.)

Duties (included but not limited to):
  • Support 340B Manager in development of enhanced CLD systems and tools, including determining functional requirements and performing user acceptance testing.
  • Leverage intermediate to advanced systems expertise to assist 340B Manager with performing research and analysis on Medicaid claims level detail (CLD) files across multiple platforms in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Manually search through large volumes of CLD files and data in the Validata system, proprietary systems, and/or the department shared drive; Filter data by national provider I.D. (i.e. account),  product, units, service date, Medicaid program, and other relevant fields
  • Match up CLD data to Medicaid invoices in the CMED Flex system so as to also capture submission date and any subsequent adjustments, resubmissions, credits, refunds, and other relevant fields
  • Investigate, resolve, and provide well researched explanations for any data discrepancies
  • Aggregate CLD and invoice data into accurate, summary-level reports and submit to 340B Manager for review
  • Assist 340B Manager with activities related to quarterly 340B Pricing calculations and reporting
  • Provide support on ad hoc projects and assignments to the A&C Team as needed
  • Consistently follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all guidelines, regulations, and policies

Skills
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years professional industry experience, including 2 years of processing rebates or invoices, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong knowledge/experience with analytics and associated tools. Experience in performing quantitative analysis of government payer programs’ data or similar to identify and provide data-driven insights; including forecasting, trending and data mining
  • Demonstrable knowledge of systems and reporting mechanisms that support contract administration or similar in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industry
  • Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with data warehouses, contracting systems, and Microsoft Access
  • Intermediate Excel including but not limited to: basic modeling, vlookup/hlookup, pivot tables, sorting/filtering, etc.
  • Strong PC/MAC computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Apps (gMail, gSheets, gDocs, etc.)
  • Strong willingness and ability to handle a large volume of routine work within very tight deadlines
  • Strong ability to work with ambiguous, disparate, and/or non-standardized data/reports/files from a variety of sources
  • Flexibility to take direction on projects from team members, yet demonstrates autonomy in managing time and priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong, positive interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the government agencies that purchase pharmaceutical products, including understanding of their practices, policies, and guidelines
  • Preferred: Knowledge of government policies and guidelines, including 340B and Medicaid that affect biopharma contracts, pricing, and rebates

Education
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in business, finance, public health, or similar required
